Thursday July 30, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. ET: CPWR-NIOSH-OSHA COVID-19 Webinar Series: Addressing COVID-19’s Health Disparities
Presented by:
Chris Trahan Cain, CIH, Executive Director, CPWR
G. Scott Earnest, Ph.D., P.E., C.S.P., Associate Director for Construction, Office of Construction Safety and Health, NIOSH

COVID-19 has had a disproportionate impact on minorities who have an increased risk of getting COVID-19 and experiencing severe illness. In 2019, 30.4% of construction workers were Hispanic, compared to 17.7% of workers in all industries. Join us for this webinar on how to address minority and ethnic groups at risk for COVID-19 with effective health and safety messaging.
Michael Flynn from NIOSH will present models on how to reach populations that are most at risk from COVID-19. Ann Marie Dale from Washington University School of Medicine will share field examples of how the trades and minority contractors are handling COVID racial disparities. Carl W. Heinlein from the American Contractors Insurance Group will describe how his team of contractors has been working non-stop developing COVID-19 safety and health messaging in multiple languages to reach employees and their families.
